Members of the community anxiously await the October issue of Gold Coast Magazine to read about the participants in the 18th annual issue of “Who’s Who in Charity and the Arts.”  On October 19, Merrill Lynch Trust Company and Gulf Stream Media Group feted these organizations at a cocktail party at the beautiful Josephine S. Leiser Opera Center in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Guests were greeted by representatives of Dewars, who provided special cocktails and munched on delicious hors D'oeuoves provided by L'Hermitage Catering.

A special presentation by the Florida Youth Orchestra provided delightful music as the Who's Who in Charity and The Arts guests mingled and became acquainted with one another.  This was not a fundraising event, but a chance for the elite in their chosen area to meet and greet.

David Ratcliffe, Director of The Merrill Lynch center for Philanthropy & Non Profit Management, gave a special welcome to this notable group from the arts and non-profits.

Gold Coast Magazine has a long-standing tradition of providing support of the Non profit and Arts groups by providing not only this extremely popular edition, but through numerous articles regarding the various organizations.  Their recognition of how imperative it is to provide exposure of these organizations in achieving success and arts provides an invaluable contribution to our community. They are to be congratulated for their dedication to making our community a better place to live.
