Students Mix and Mash to Win Prizes -
Culinary Competition Cooks Up Winning Recipes with Key Ingredients
Winterfest, Adonia, Perrier, Stubbs & Beef Council Represented (see video)


 The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale competed for over $2900 in cash and prizes by Winterfest, Adonia, Perrier, San Pellegrino, Stubbs & Beef Council in conjunction with the Gray Robinson, P.A. Winterfest White Party. The cook-off and judging on Friday, September 14,  hosted a variety of delightful recipes in Small Bites, Beef Entry, Sliders, Dessert and Beverage categories.

Student Al Cacace won in Best Overall, Beverage and Beef Entry with recipes Mango Goddess Colada and Citrus Flat Iron Steak. Other student winners: Brody Casamento (Appetizer - Bronco Beef Pockets), Ernest Bailey (Slider – Short Fig Rib) and Christopher Fread (Dessert – Greek Napoleon featuring Adonia Frozen Yogurt).

The judges for the contest were Belkys Nerey – WSVN News Anchor and “A Bite with Belkys” Segment; Ashley Hughes – Beef Council; Daniel Wes Bonner – Publix Aprons Cooking School; Jack Kane – Chef / Director of Culinary School at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and Ralph Pagano – Celebrity Chef.

Representing the brand sponsors were Mario & Patty Medina, Stubbs Bar B Que Sauce; Liz Larmony, Nestle Waters; and Ashley Hughes, Florida Beef Council.

“Adonia, Perrier, Stubbs and the Florida Beef Council are very excited to be involved with Publix and the Winterfest Boat Parade; we are all looking forward to sharing these winning recipes at the VIP Winterfest Media and Sponsor Event in November,” says Tammy Gail with Floridata Shopper Marketing.   All First Place Winners will present their winning recipes to a VIP crowd of 400 guests at the Gray Robinson, PA Winterfest White Party exclusively at the Harbor Beach Marriott, Friday, November 2nd.
