Symphony of the Americas Society Portrait Unveiling Reception
for 2011- 2012 Style & Substance Honorees

On October 3, 2011 Michelle’s Dining Lounge and The Wine Watch hosted a champagne reception for the 2011 -2012 Symphony of the Americas Society’s Style & Substance Honorees: Mary Kay Follin, Andrew Lampasone, Chris Madsen, Hugh McCauley, Betsy Russo, Mary Short, Alan Starr, Jane and Bob Toney, and the Finizio Family.  During this reception each honoree’s portrait, by Tiffany Photographic Studio, was officially unveiled.

The Style and Substance honorees are prominent individuals, who have distinguished themselves through outstanding service and commitment to our community.  They will be recognized at the annual Style & Substance Luncheon on October 25, 2011, at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty Six in Fort Lauderdale.

In addition to the honorees, over 100 guests attended the reception, including the Symphony’s Artistic Director, Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese, Renee LaBonte, Executive Director of the Symphony of the Americas, and Event Chair, Lynne McGrath,

Recently designated as a Broward County major cultural institution, the Symphony has partnered with the Broward Cultural Council, the Boys & Girls Club, the Bonnet House, and the Broward County Schools to provide music to children at risk.

The annual Style & Substance Luncheon benefits the Symphony of the Americas Educational and Outreach Programs, which reach over 35,000 people annually.
