HOT SHOT BARTENDERS RAISE OVER $20,000 FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS
FORT LAUDERDALE, BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA -- PINION, Inc. benefiting the Special Olympics of Broward County and its athletes, celebrated with more than 250 philanthropic, community and business leaders at the ever-popular: HOT SHOT BARTENDERS held at Ernie’s Bar-B-Que & Lounge. This Florida tradition was brought back by popular demand after several years.
The event was filled with Pinion friends laughing at the antics of the bartenders. “HOT SHOT” bartenders competed for tips and used frivolous schemes and inventions, including giveaways, gimmicks, and of course their personalities and charm; but all was fair when 100% went to charity. There were beauty queens selling raffle tickets, The Hard Rock Hotel and Max Osceola, Jr. had the Hard Rock girls selling calendars and tending bar with him. After the tip count, Max was the winning Hot Shot was Max Osceola, Jr. who won the two-night stay at the Riverside Hotel and $100 gift certificate to the Grille Room.
Doug Eagon and Steve Nowatka, were return HOT Shots; other bartenders were Candy Colby, and Chris Wren. Lisa Scott-Founds, Lee Sheffield, and Renee Quinn teamed together and had a ball entertaining the crowds with their pink martini glasses and a host of giveaways, including the sought-after Grey Goose watch, and Eddie Bestoso, affectionately known as Beddy, came in his lovely sequined outfit and flowing blonde hair. In an inter-generational challenge Sharon Gustafson teamed with daughter Susan Rindley, Rob Kornahrens brought his sons, Kevin and Mike. Brad Runyan and Jimmy Leto completed the roster.
Once again Butch Samp, owner of the Floridian and Ernie’s graciously underwrote the entire event. Stiles Corporation continued their commitment to Pinion by underwriting the design and printing of the invitations.
Return chairs Anne Allen, Nancy Block and Jane Brand-Eagon congratulate the celebrity bartenders on an event that raised over $20,000 for Pinion, and appreciate the continued support of Ernie’s and Stiles Corporation. The chairs said it couldn’t happen without committee, Barbara Corrao, Sonja Mayo, Lisa Scott-Founds, Debra Lieberman and Lee Sheffield.
