The Center for Positive Connections was founded in August of 1995, Initially created to address the needs of the HIV+ heterosexual community, which were largely being ignored by the major HIV service providers of the day, in its eleven years of service the Center has grown and is today nationally recognized for it’s services to the HIV+ heterosexual community, as a model for peer/consumer-driven HIV service delivery and as a leader in the provision of holistic health services.Services eduction, emotional and social support and housing services for people living with HIV/AIDS in South Florida, regardless of sexual orientation, race/ethenicity or national origin.

The evening started off with Ogbe Guobadia owner/operator of Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant hosting an hour long happy hour with food & drinks served in the lounge area.  The party then moved to the Art Fusion Galleries where guest could view the wonderful artist's collections displayed in many brightly lit rooms.

Wine was served to the guests and they were given an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for prizes donated by El Dorado Furniture, Sheba's, The Cookie Company, Neiman Marcus Coral Gables & Museum of Discovery & Science in Ft.Lauderdale.

A silent auction was part of the festivities with two pieces of art, "CENT-SUOUS" and "ROTHKO LIVES",donated by William Breamer of Art Fusion Galleries.

Lively music was provided outside the Gallery by two bands and everyone enjoyed the evening supporting The Center for Positive Connections.
