Five Local Charities Teamed Up for Another Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop
Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation, Riverwalk Trust, Young Professionals of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Young Professionals for Covenant House and the Broward County Gator Club recently hosted the third Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop, a local event held several times a year to raise funds for the five charitable organizations. The event netted over $18,000 for the charities.
Approximately 1,200 attendees enjoyed a free cocktail from each of the participating venues that included Johnny V’s, Side Bar, Tarpon Bend, Off the Hookah, Crazy 8’s, LuLu’s Bait Shack, Spazio, Dirty Blondes and America’s Backyard. Participants rode the Sun Trolley to each venue and were treated to appetizers from Briny Pub at the after party.
"The event significantly benefits everyone involved,” said John Haley, event founder and chairman. “The Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop event serves the Sun Trolley’s purpose with overwhelming satisfaction, fills restaurants with local support and helps raise funds for five charitable organizations.”
“We expect the Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop will grow each time and will soon become a regularly scheduled event in Fort Lauderdale,” said Haley.
Major supporters included Land Shark Lager, Bud Light Lime, Outhouse Advertising, Las Olas Riverfront and Kind Design.
