Pinion's kicked of the holiday season with its annual Holiday party "Winter Wonderland" at the Intercoastal Estate of hostess, Jacqueline Mcall. This beautiful estate was decorated in the holiday spirit to celebrate the success of the Pinion organization, but also to raise more funds for the Special Olympics of Broward County.
Guests were able to purchase the docorations that were on the "grounds" of this beautiful home giving the guests a "special" way to raise more funds for the Special Olympics.
No holiday party would be perfect withou a few open bars and holiday shopping with a bountiful silent auction featuring trips, sports tickets and memorabilia, jewelry and more. Event chairs are Linda Spaulding White, Leslie Fischer & Debra Lieberman. Proceeds from this event benefit The Special Olympics - Broward County.
Since inception, Pinion has hosted regularly scheduled social events, meetings and activities on behalf of Special Olympics. Pinion has become the financial arm of the Special Olympics, providing the program with the funds needed to provide individuals with mental handicaps the opportunity to participate in the program.
Over the years, Special Olympics have recognized Pinion as the Local Support Organization of the Year. Through successful fundraising efforts Pinion has given the local program the opportunity to do more for these special individuals year-round.
Pinion, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer organization formed in 1991. We raise funds to benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Broward County through grants, corporate sponsorships and fundraising events. Through Pinion’s efforts more than $1,500,000 has been raised to support these activities and programs.
