Explore the Eye of the Storm! Join the Museum of Discovery and Science for a Virtual Distinguished Speaker Series Event: “Historical Hurricane Season” on Thursday, January 21 at 6 p.m.
The Virtual Series is presented by Save Our Seas Foundation and supports
MODS’ commitment to marine conservation education.
WHAT: Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) Virtual Distinguished Speaker Series Event “Historical Hurricane Season” to be held Thursday, January 21 from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. via Zoom.
· Join our Distinguished Speaker Series program for an engaging discussion about the 2020 Hurricane season. Plus, enjoy an engaging Q&A with Distinguished Speaker Erik Salna and learn about the latest hurricane research conducted at the International Hurricane Research Center (IHRC) at Florida International University (FIU) and the Wall of Wind.
· The Distinguished Speaker is Erik Salna, M.S., associate director of education and outreach at the Extreme Events Institute (EEI) and IHRC at FIU.
· The Distinguished Speaker Series invites science and conservationists of all ages to learn from internationally acclaimed biologists, scientists, conservationists, researchers and educators.
