Description

West Palm Beach – With an ever-broadening reach, Women in the Window International offers hope to women in seemingly hopeless situations across the globe. Executive Director Kim Kerr invites you to attend Window of Hope, a waterfront gathering geared to showcase the organization’s work in the hard places of Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and here in the United States among Native Americans and least-reached people groups. Window of Hope will be held in the Lake Pavillion, 101 S. Flagler Drive, from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22. The free event is open to women, men, and families (children ages 7+), and Women in the Window will offer light refreshments from the regions it serves. Window of Hope includes hands-on opportunities to experience a portion of the training offered by Women in the Window International. Through multi-faceted instruction, Women in the Window offers tools that bring lasting change to women otherwise without hope and without Christ in the world. Their ongoing partnership with indigenous women leaders not only strengthens women and their families by equipping them in relevant and reproducible training materials, it empowers them to convey what they have learned and to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. As a result, families, communities and nations are experiencing new life in Christ, who is the Hope of all the world. Women in the Window International equips and empowers women in the 10/40 Window and beyond to replace poverty and injustice with dignity and purpose in Christ. The 10/40 Window is a geographical region from the west coast of Africa to the east coast of Asia, from 10 degrees to 40 degrees north of the equator. It includes only 1/3 of the world’s land mass but 2/3 of the world’s population, including 80% of the poorest of the poor, and is the birthplace of all major world religions, including Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism and Christianity. Women in the Window trainings include spiritual and leadership development, healthcare, economic empowerment, and advocacy to combat injustice.
