AWARDS DINNER AT THE HYATT PIER TOP
HONORING FIVE (5) PHILANTHROPIC MEN

Women & Wishes, Inc., a non-profit 501 (c) (3) local organization, hosted their 1st Annual Diamonds & Dudes Awards Dinner at the Hyatt Pier Top in Ft. Lauderdale right on the intracoastal chaired by Kelly Cappola, President and Founder of Women & Wishes and Marion Applegate, Executive VP. Committee consisted of Gemma Pressinger, Jane Vicale, Claire Barrett Young, Zulmarie Padin and Robin Fulling. In addition to Board and committee members, this event was planned and produced by Ana Vento through her company Events by Vento Designs.
This important event was to honor five (5) philanthropic men who have made a difference and impacted the lives of women and children in the community. It was also a fundraiser geared to create community awareness. Guests enjoyed a delightful evening of dinner, dance, auction by Pressinger & Company and a memorable tribute ceremony with a spectacular view of Fort Lauderdale.
The honorees were Scott J. Brook, Esquire, Mayor of Coral Springs; Paul Keefe, Director of Planned Giving Hospice Care of S.E. Florida; David Maymon, CEO Advocate Home Health Care and Bradley Minto, Partner, Performance Home Theater Design. The Lifetime Achievement Award recipient was the late Dave Thomas, Chairman & Founder of Wendy's International.
Mistress of Ceremonies was Amara Sohn with NBC6. Event was sponsored by Ed Morse Bayview Cadillac, Autonation, The Wasie Foundation and Comprehensive OB-GYN LLC.
Women & Wishes, Inc., a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, have found a need among middle class women and children who typically do not qualify for federal, state, or local assistance, as they struggle through individual challenges. The organization recognizes the lack of subsidy and intervention alternatives for the middle class women faced with a crisis situation, and supports them in several capacities.

To help better the lives of women and children by helping them advance economically, emotionally, educationally, and socially. As we work together to fulfill these needs, we positively impact the quality of life of women and children.
