Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop Nets $18,000 for Local Charities
Approximately 1,200 people invaded the City of Fort Lauderdale last Friday night for the 9th Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop, which raised $18,000 for five local charities. The Bus Loop has raised more than $131,000 for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Young Professionals for Covenant House, Riverwalk Trust, Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation and the Broward County Gator Club Scholarships since its inception.
Participating venues included Tropic Cay Bar, Café del Mar, Tarpon Bend, SoLita Las Olas, Quarterdeck, Art Bar, YOLO and America’s Backyard. An after party was held at Briny Riverfront Irish Bar and Restaurant.
Major event sponsors included Stephen’s Distributing, Select 55, Bud Light Wheat Ale, Kind Design Advertising, Redawn TV, Coldstone Creamery, Go Riverwalk, DJ Phent, Sun Trolley Enterprises and Haley Engineering.

Young Professionals for Covenant House is a dedicated group of adults between the ages of 21-45 helping to raise money and increase awareness for Covenant House Florida by hosting socials and special events in the South Florida area. The Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation (JJCCF) provides financial assistance for children in need fighting cancer.
